My first diary.  I feel compelled to post this as a diary because I feel it's so important for folks to understand the structure of NPR and its affiliates as far as their news division is concerned.  I'm a longtime fan of shows like Diane Rehm, Fresh Air, This American Life, and others.  I know some of your local affiliates can't afford to carry these, so if you haven't heard them please at least listen online once to see what you're missing.
