START LOCAL: Kossacks Need to Run For Office

So we're two days out from what many of us thought was inconceivable.  As the dust continues to settle, we must regroup and refocus our anger.  Many of us are still thinking, "How the fuck did this happen?"  I guess we underestimated the culture war that's happening.  In the end, I believed hate and fear would not prevail.  But I was wrong, or maybe their message was just clearer.  I don't know.  But after a few days and weeks of getting over it, we must move on.  Here's what I suggest..

LTEs from Tulsa, OK

Living in the conservative, relgious fundamentalist haven of Tulsa, OK is interesting for a bleeding-heart liberal like myself.  This year, though, I've been encouraged by the vast amount of Kerry signs/bumperstickers I've seen and the many people I've talked to who are simply fed up with Bushco.  In one of the most conservative states in the USA, we have an opportunity pick up a Senate and a House seat.  And while anecdotal evidence is generally nothing to get excited about, I find these three letters to the editor from today's Tulsa World extremely encouraging.
