Some People Wonder: Is John McCain the Manchurian Candidate?

Tue Jul 01, 2008 at 04:56:41 PM PDT

There have been heaps of rumors circulating on the internet about Barack Obama. "Some people are saying" that Barack Obama is a Muslim Manchurian Candidate. Now the Washington Post has adopted FauxNews "journalistic" standards: the WaPo is reporting on what "some people are wondering".

But, they have chosen the wrong candidate for their "Manchurian Candidate" scenario.

In a nutshell, a "Manchurian Candidate" is a former POW who was tortured and brainwashed by his captors. After the war has ended, the American people welcome him home as a war hero. But this former POW is a ticking bomb; he's part of a plot to betray the United States. He has no memory of his brainwashing; nor does he have any conscious knowledge of his part in the plot. When the moment is right, his masters will trigger his hidden indoctrination: then he will execute his mission and betray his country.

Only one of the Presidential candidates matches the Manchurian Candidate profile.

Some people are wondering: is John McCain the "Manchurian Candidate"? Some people are wondering: was POW John McCain tortured and brainwashed by his captors? Some people are wondering: did John McCain's return as a war hero mask the fact that he is really a ticking bomb? Some people are wondering: could it be that John McCain simply has no memory of his brainwashing? Some people are wondering: is John McCain playing an unconscious role in a diabolical plot to betray the United States?

Some people are wondering: when will the Washington Post report on what some people are wondering about John McCain?

Some people are wondering: how the hell did what "some people are wondering" become news reported in the WaPo?
