As my diaries go, this one is very short.

This political cartoon appeard in our local paper today.

When I read these two diaries which are presently near the top of the rec list, I knew I had to at least post a link to this incisive Chris Britt cartoon. Please check it out.

The cartoon certainly struck a chord with me. After reading about Reid's  response to Chris Dodd's action on FISA, it is very evident to me that that cartoon is on target, sorry to say.

Though actions like Dodd's give me a small ray of hope, I wonder if it just a tease to garner my primary vote. After all, we had high hopes after the '06 elections only to be bitterly diappointed in '07.

I have not been pleased with the Democratic leadership for quite some time. In the past I was often taken to task for expressing my indignation. Now prominent members of this community are showing greater contempt for these feckless leaders than I did. I wonder if there is the necessary indignation here at DK to send a unified message to the Democratic leadership.

The situation must change.
